Buenos Aires & Iguazu falls

A little throwback Thursday to my trip to Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls this past January!

We started our South American adventure in Buenos Aires and had a nice time introducing ourselves to meat on meat eating, cheap delicious wine and tango. The city itself made me feel like I was in Europe a bit with it’s cobblestone streets and late night eating style. My favourite part of the trip though was seeing the La Boca area which is basically a street that is lined with bars and restaurants that are more colourful than a pack of Crayola Crayons. Sensory Overload. I also loved taking a day trip to a traditional Argentinian Ranch where we got to eat a variety of different meats (discovered I don’t like blood sausage- yuck), went horseback riding and met a “gaucho “- an Argentinian cowboy (pictured above)!

We spent a few days there before taking a short plane ride north to the Iguazu Falls- one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Although the falls were very amazing to see, I started to believe our hotel pool was the 8th wonder of the world-it was like nothing I have seen before…so beautiful!

I stayed a whole year in Buenos Aires because of my job and I loved it. Since my apartment for rent in buenos aires to the trips I did I had a wonderful time. Next time try going south, not only to the Calafate but also to see the weals in Puerto Madryn and the welsh colonization of Trelew. Everything worth it!!
